in love with leather since 1969

Conceria Italia was established in Chiampo in 1969 as a craft business. Right from the very start, attention given to the selection of raw hides and all the processing stages were geared towards a clear objective: to produce luxury and extremely high quality hides to satisfy the most demanding customers, without compromise.

These criteria have made Conceria Italia extremely well-known and acknowledged as a leader for the quality of the articles produced, becoming one of the reference points in the production chain of technical and high quality leather. This goal has been achieved thanks to our commitment to the pursuit of excellence, both in industrial processes and in the quality of the products and service offered.

In its activities, Conceria Italia constantly pursues the objective of vertical and sustainable development, adopting responsible behaviour towards the territory, with particular regard to environmental protection. The company's core-business is linked to the production and sale of cow hides for the domestic and world market of technical-sportswear and footwear. Our extensive experience and wide range of manufactured articles enable us to satisfy every kind of need.

Aware of having to face the daily difficulties of an increasingly competitive and demanding market, Conceria Italia has long since adopted a policy of internal management development that has enabled it to improve and optimise its resources. The result of all this has led to a UNI en ISO 9001 certified quality system. The excellent results achieved from the application of the new system convinced Conceria Italia to follow the same path for technical leather development.

This further search for quality is further enhanced by the conscientious work of the technicians and the new laboratory instruments that enable us to satisfy the ever more demanding requests of our customers. The in-house laboratory has recently obtained the ICET TS 406 technical specification quality certification.

The desire to produce quality leathers with a low environmental impact embraces the leather production chain, representing one of the greatest examples of circular economy today. Indeed, the tanning sector uses raw materials that are part of the food industry's by-products. These by-products would normally be for disposal, but with the tanning technique the re-purposing of the raw material enables it to be reintroduced into the market, making it particularly valuable for various industrial sectors.

As of today, leather is still the only completely natural material with high biodegradability.
